Adoption Orientation at Children's Home Society or Virginia

News From Children's Home Society

We are asking caring individuals and corporations to sponsor a TV commercial that will feature the hopes and dreams of a teen who is waiting for adoption. Your sponsorship will enable us to reach out to a family who is willing to open their hearts and their home to adopt a teen. We need your help to find them.

As you read this, there are 90 teens, in and around Richmond, who are waiting to hear these words: “We want to adopt you!” With these words comes love, support, permanency, and hope for a future. You can see to it that one teen hears those words before they “age out” of foster care at 18.

We are the Children’s Home Society, a small, private non-profit that has been placing children with permanent families for 113 years. In Richmond, and throughout Virginia, we have facilitated the placement of over 12,500 children, supported by the generosity of folks like you.

To learn about sponsoring a TV message for teen adoption, call Doug Burford at Burford Advertising, 804.780.0354. He’ll work with TV stations to get the exposure you need at a cost that’s affordable. He’ll also show you how to produce a low-cost commercial with an emotional appeal that will attract a family who is willing to adopt a teen.
